What is so fascinating about Sam is that she lives life!!  She is one of the very few new yorkers who really rep New York.  If you have the chance, follow her on twitter or instagram and you’ll see exactly what I mean.  The girl travels the world like no one business and when she comes back to the hometown, please believe her presence is felt.  Samantha is this month’s Winning Woman for the simple fact that she is enjoying every minute of her life without looking back.  She lives her life and doesn’t let anyone get in the way of her enjoying it.  She is also a very intelligent young female and passionate about women’s rights.  If you ever get the chance to sit down and actually talk with her, 1 of 2 things will happen..you will walk away with a great experience as well as having gained some knowledge or you’ll walk away crying.  Pick your poison.  I am giving her the title NYC’s favorite sweetheart, and if you get to meet her you’ll know why.

“Yes some us are still out there lingering trying to take our city back…” - Samantha R.

So Rifa wanted to play the modest role. What she didn’t tell you guys is that she is the CEO of a very successful clothing line titled Black N Ugly.  The line promotes positivity amongst the african american community.  The name alone grabs your attention, but the concept behind the name is so much deeper than most will be able to grasp. These are only a few of the many reasons why we chose the lovely Rifa to be our Winning Woman for Black History Month.
