@therealejoox ft. Ransom - Round and Round

By Willie Brown | @_WillieBrown
E. Joox blesses us with this soulful sampled track and is giving us plenty of food for thought. His delivery on this track is amazing and the message he sends is phenomenal!  E. Joox has been grinding for a while now, and it’s such a fascinating, beautiful, just admirable thing to see the way this young man is progressing in his career. He is owning his style and sticking to what he knows best.  He isn’t trying to be anyone but E. Joox.  This artist was a perfect artist for Black History Month.  Look for a full “Rising Star” feature on E. Joox in the near future.

“Sorry if you can’t relate to mine, $100,000 watch is a waste of time, it’s a waste of money. Homie change your ways, if you can’t relate to that..you’re a waste of space…” - E. Joox

“I don’t mind being black. I’m black out loud. It’s more than the people that they are, it’s the condition that they represent.”

Justin Bieber - OTIS Freestyle

You can say what you want about the kid, but you have to give it to him on this freestyle.  Obviously he’s no Jay, Kanye, or the next big lyricist to look out for, but for a pop singer from the burbs he damn sure held it down for all of his Beliebers! Props to Justin Bieber!

“My fans are like my glasses, without them I’d be blurry…”

@Pitbull - Freestyle 1997

This clip is amazing in so many ways.  For starters Pitbull was a pretty damn good rapper, that is something that not too many people are aware of.  Second, Pitbull is from the hood!  Regardless of the music he makes NOW, he is originally from the hood.  Which leads to the most important point, don’t become a prisoner of your environment.  You can do anything you want to do in this world.  He knew there was a world out there bigger than the block he was on and he was/is determined to explore it.  Pitbull knew what was necessary for him to reach certain levels so he did it. Some people call it selling out, but it’s more so a case of maturing and understanding that the “gangster” persona in rap will take you but only so far.  Clearly he wanted to do more than that and so he did what was necessary to be done.  As Pitbull always says: “Patience, Passion, Perseverance = Success.”

@Karminmusic - Carbon Copy/Encore [ That’s Rocawear ]

The dynamic duo Karmin is back with another amazing cover.  Before I go any further may I just say Karmin is the group name NOT the females name.  Karmin consists of Amy & Nick (who are a couple by the way).  This cover combines a blend of their original track “Carbon Copy” with infamous Jay-z track “Encore”.   As their youtube description states We spent a day with Rocawear in New York and shot this live video for you! Mixed up our original song, “Carbon Copy” with a favorite Jay-Z tune…ENJOY! We love you s’mores than ever!! xoxo” . What I love about their covers is that they don’t simply do another artists track over, they make it their own.  They found their own niche in the market and they are running with it.  Much props to these two and well deserved success to the both of them.

That’s Rocawear viral videos celebrate the evolution of hip hop culture. Rocawear was established in 1999 off the excitement around Jay-Z and Rocafella Records and remains today as the number one urban lifestyle brand in the world. We celebrate how the culture has evolved and how Rocawear has not only evolved with the culture but has been a major force in communicating that evolution around the world. Amy and Nick have a great sense for making it personable, corky and organic which we believe are the main elements for their viral success. That’s Rocawear!
